General Description:
This bill requires a third party that contracts with a local education agency (LEA) to
make certain disclosures.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 
53G-7-216.1
 is enacted to read:
 53G-7-216.1.
Third party disclosure of chemicals.
(1) (a) "Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances" means a class of fluorinated
organic chemicals containing at least one fully fluorinated carbon atom.
(b) Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substance includes perfluorohexane sulfonic
acid, perfluoroheptanoic acid, and perfluorononanoic acid.
(2) Before an LEA enter a contract with a third party to provide a good, the third party
shall make a good faith effort to disclose whether any good provided under the contract
contains a perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substance.
