LONG TITLE
General Description:
This bill repeals and replaces the vision and mission of the public education system
with a requirement to submit a new vision and mission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 
53E-2-301
 is repealed and reenacted to read:
53E-2-301.
Public education's vision and mission.
No later than October 1, 2023, the state board shall submit to the Education Interim
Committee recommendations for public education's vision and mission for the committee's
review and potential preparation of legislation to codify a new vision and mission.
