LONG TITLE
General Description:
This bill enacts language related to a municipal and county governing body.
Highlighted Provisions:
This bill:

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 
10-3-607
 is amended to read:
10-3-607.
 Expulsion of members prohibited -- Exception for disorderly conduct.
(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), the governing body may not expel a member
of the governing body from a public meeting or prohibit the member from attending a public
meeting.
(2)
 The governing body of each municipality may fine or expel 
from a public meeting
any member 
of the governing body
 for disorderly conduct on a two-thirds vote of the members
of the governing body.
Section 2. Section 
17-53-206.5
 is enacted to read:
 17-53-206.5.
Expulsion of members prohibited.
The legislative body may not expel a member of the legislative body from a public
meeting or prohibit the member from attending a public meeting.
